ABACUS (A Bona fide Association for Computer Users and Students) is an idea initiated by the students of the Computer Science & Engineering Department (NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad) to enhance their knowledge and skill and to make the learning process more interactive and free from the fetters of only the prescribed curriculum. In todays age of cut throat competition in the IT field it is imperative to do so to remain employable and relevant in the current scenario. A contemporary course in B.Tech in CS&E still focuses on the basis of computer sciences which, while being important, is woefully inadequate to prepare students for a future in an IT company with any prospect of advancement.
